RUNOUTCODE Privacy Policy
Effective 17 October 2026. This policy covers RUNOUTCODE. Website hosting and email processing are described in our website and contact privacy notice.
Publisher and contact
Christopher Breifjell-Bakke publishes RUNOUTCODE under the L03V Labs brand. For support or privacy requests: [email protected].
Local audio conversion
RUNOUTCODE reads the audio files and metadata you choose to perform the conversions you request. Processing takes place on your Mac. The app does not upload audio, metadata or artwork to L03V Labs or an AI service. It has no network client entitlement, account system, advertising, tracking or automatic analytics upload. LAME, FLAC and libebur128 process audio locally.
Files, preferences and access
Output files are written to the folder you select. Preferences and security-scoped folder bookmarks are stored locally so the app can remember your settings and authorised folders. You can choose File → Forget Saved Folder Access to remove saved folder grants. Keep original files and inspect converted output before deleting anything.
Temporary working files are cleaned up after completed, failed or cancelled jobs. After a forced termination, the app attempts to clean up its own abandoned workspaces when access is available. We do not promise that every interrupted operation leaves no recovery material. Removing the app does not delete your original or converted audio files. You control those files in Finder.
Apple and file providers
Apple handles App Store account and purchase information, and may process system diagnostics under your settings. RUNOUTCODE does not automatically send its own diagnostics to us. If you select a folder managed by iCloud Drive or another synchronisation service, that provider may synchronise your files independently of RUNOUTCODE. See Apple’s privacy information and your file provider’s terms.
Support and retention
If you email support, we receive the contact details, message and attachments you choose to send, and use them to answer your enquiry. Do not send whole music collections or unnecessary personal data. Closed support enquiries are deleted after 12 months, except material needed for legal claims or obligations. Our website and contact notice explains the email provider, legal bases, transfers and retention in more detail.
Your control and rights
Your audio and metadata remain under your control. We cannot remotely view or delete files that exist only on your Mac. You may ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact [email protected]. You may complain to Datatilsynet. Changes to the app’s processing will be reflected in an updated policy.
